Discover.d is operated by Discover.d Ltd. Our website is located at discoverd.co. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@discoverd.co.
When you apply for early access or build a profile on Discover.d, we collect the following information: full name, email address, date of birth, sport and competitive level, nationality and county or region, profile photo and gallery images, video links and social media profile links, achievements, milestones and personal statements, endorsements provided by third parties, and referral information where applicable.
When you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message content.
When you visit our website, we may collect standard technical data including your IP address, browser type and pages visited for the purpose of improving our service.
We collect and use your data for the following purposes: to create and manage your athlete profile on Discover.d; to send you communications about your profile and platform updates; to notify our team of new profiles and submissions; to improve and develop the Discover.d platform; and to comply with our legal obligations.
We process your data on the basis of your consent, which you provide when submitting the application form or profile builder. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at hello@discoverd.co.
Discover.d is designed to help athletes at every age build a professional presence. Where a profile is created for an athlete under the age of 18, we require a parent or guardian to submit the application and manage the profile. By submitting an application on behalf of a child, the parent or guardian confirms they have the authority to do so and consent to their child's data being processed as described in this policy.
We take the safety and privacy of young people extremely seriously. Email addresses and dates of birth are never publicly accessible; only safe profile information such as name, sport, age group and achievements is shown publicly.
Where you upload a profile photo, gallery images or a video highlight link as part of your Discover.d profile, you are consenting to this content being displayed publicly on your profile page at discoverd.co.
Video content linked from YouTube is hosted on YouTube's platform and subject to YouTube's own terms of service and content policies. Discover.d does not control YouTube's platform or its policies regarding content featuring minors.
You can request removal of any image or video content at any time by contacting hello@discoverd.co. We will action all removal requests within 72 hours of receipt.
For athletes under the age of 13, a parent or guardian must provide explicit consent for any image or video content to be published. By ticking the video and image consent checkbox on the profile builder, the parent or guardian confirms they have the authority to grant this consent on the athlete's behalf.
For athletes aged 13 to 17, we recommend that a parent or guardian reviews and confirms consent for image and video content regardless of whether the profile is self-managed.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We use the following trusted third party services to operate the platform: Lovable Cloud for secure database and file storage, Resend for email delivery, and Google Workspace for internal team email. Each of these providers processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data protection law.
We retain your data for as long as your profile remains active on Discover.d. If you wish to have your data deleted, contact us at hello@discoverd.co and we will action your request within 30 days.
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@discoverd.co.
Our website uses essential cookies to function correctly. These are always on, because the site cannot work without them.
We also use the Meta Pixel, a marketing and analytics tool provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. When it is active, the Meta Pixel collects information about your visit, including the pages you view, the time of your visit, your browser and device information, your IP address, and conversion events such as starting or submitting an application. This information is shared with Meta, which may use it to measure and improve our advertising and to show our adverts to relevant people. Meta may also combine it with data it already holds about you. Some of this data may be transferred outside the UK and the European Economic Area under Meta’s standard contractual clauses.
The Meta Pixel only runs if you actively accept non essential cookies in our cookie banner. If you reject, or if you have not yet made a choice, the pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta. Your choice is stored in your browser so you are not asked on every visit.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the "Manage cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We encourage you to review it periodically.
